About the station
Opened in December 2020 as part of the overground Sergeli section; in the project it was called «Ehtirom» and «Afrosiyob». The name «Yangihayot» («New Life») was approved in 2023 after a public survey. A covered overground station with an island platform.
The name
«Yangihayot» is Uzbek for «new life». In the project the station was called «Ehtirom» and «Afrosiyob», after opening «4-bekat», and its current name was approved on 9 August 2023 following a survey of residents.
Design
A covered overground station with an island platform 102 m long. The north lobby has a three-lane escalator, and the south side has a lift for passengers with reduced mobility. The station is in the Sofdil mahalla; exits lead to Shokirariq and Mirzo Tursunzoda streets.
History
The station opened on 26 December 2020 as part of the overground Sergeli section.

The names of 19 overground stations were chosen by the whole city: in late 2022, 458 residents sent in 1,943 proposals, and an online vote followed in spring 2023.
